Are you upset over "Spilt" Milk? Is the result of election 2012 Sour Grapes to you?
Get over it! It is done. Quit talking about the election and talk about the Lord.

Proverbs 29:25
"The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe."

Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. (6) In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

I wonder what could be wrong with the gentleman pictured above. Wait a minute. Let me venture a guess: He played the lottery and lost! No? Then he probably has a digestive issue. No? Well, I would submit to you that he does have a digestive issue. I would venture to say his digestive issue is probably one that started no later than November 6, 2012. What did you say? It probably started on November 4, 2008? Then, could his indigestion have started when our present KING, I mean President, was elected the first time? Maybe you've got indigestion too.

Let me say: This is no time to be crying over "spilt" milk.  SPILLED-MILK-2.jpg

It would seem many people have a hard time swallowing what has just taken place in our country. Yes, even I have a difficult time believing:
FOUR MORE YEARS?

What happened? Did God let us down? Don't be absurd! God did not let us down. We, the people, have let God down.

I wrote in an earlier article titled "As goes the church (and home) so goes the country" . In the article I wrote: "Sad(!) that our churches have become nothing more than a 'social gathering place' for people who want to gather together and play games". I also wrote: "We Christians have become so scared of hurting someone's feelings that we are afraid to take a Godly stand for anything". I believe the outcome of election 2008 and 2012 prove that churches and homes (of America) are not taking a stand for Jesus Christ.

Let me add to what I've already written. We are not hearing the Gospel preached from many pulpits in America's churches today. Instead of men in the pulpits standing and telling people to look to the Lord, and to do what He says, I believe many Pastors, and Christians, are telling people to look to an earthly king for answers. Instead, we are to be looking to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! People are so confused in our churches that they have lost sight of the King of Kings and are now looking for an 'earthly' king who can save us from the terrible things of this earth (famine, hunger, sickness, financial ruin, and etc.). I say: "Have we lost sight of eternity?"

Yes, I believe, Christians, as well as non-Christians, just like the people of Israel in the Old Testament (I Kings Chapter 8) have lusted for a king instead of looking to the Lord. There is nothing wrong with praying for a Godly, earthly leader. In fact, we are told to pray for our leaders (I Timothy 2:1-2). We Christians are also told to seek God's face, humble ourselves and turn from our wicked ways, only then will the Lord hear our prayers for help (II Chronicles 7:14).

Am I crying over spilled milk? Not at all. I am rejoicing because I know the Lord will take care of me. I am not looking for a human to solve all my problems. I know the Bible is still the Word of God, and the promises of God are sure. I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep me forever! (II Timothy 1:12)

My advice: quit crying over "spilt" milk. Get busy for the Lord. Pray, seek His face. And let us look to the Lord for Salvation and help: (Biblical): "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth." Psalm 121:1-2

LOOK TO THE LORD!

Because of Christ,

Lewis R. Woodard, D.Min.

PRAY FOR OUR PRESIDENT AND OUR COUNTRY'S LEADERS:
Let me remind you that as Christians, you and I have a responsibility to pray for the safety of our President, and leaders . We also have the responsibility to pray for our leaders to make right decisions. Also, we need to pray for the salvation of those who are not saved (the Lord knows).
(See Romans 13:1-7)
